Amanya Amariel international Recording Artist notable for her “Love Clouds” hit that rose to #1 on Europes’ Dance charts in May of 2015. Her new singles are “Live My Life” and her rendition of Minnie Ripertons’ “Back Down Memory Lane” to be released very soon on her new album “Lessons of Love”. Amanya has performed on a high level in her genes. Her father Darryl Lamont was the 12-year-old lead singer for the 70’s R&B group Brighter Side of Darkness who made the Top 20 popular song “Love Jones”. Amanya is from Chicago’s Westside Austin Area. From where she began her journey joining various choirs, ensembles, several bands even forming her own, auditioning for musical roles in plays, and TV shows including “American Idol”, she later began performing with the Gentlemen of Leisure Band. In doing so, Amanya had the opportunity to perform at the 2008 Presidential Ball for President Barak Obama. She has also performed at an array of political events for Illinois state reps as well as former Mayor Daley, Former Mayor Emmanuel, and now the new Mayor of Chicago Lorri Lightfoot as well as performing at for the Governors’ Ball. During a personal low point, she was inspired to start writing her famous tune Love Clouds which have won the prestigious Akademia Music Awards’ New Artist Pop/Soul Artist 2015. She was nominated “Female Vocalist of the Year” by the Chicago Music Awards along with artists Tink, and Teresa Griffin. She has worked with producers local and international like Terry Hunter & King Farley, Jack Master Funk of Chosen Few Dj’s. Amanya is currently an artist for Mr. C "The Slide Man" AKA DJ Casper.
